"Your Story Is Your POWER!"
Every woman has a story inside her somewhere.
It might be the story of the girl she used to be, of what her dreams once were, of the challenges
she has ovecome, and how it all shaped her into the woman she is now.
A woman's story might be about someone or something else.
It might be a poem, a biography, a dedication, a book to help others, or a work of fiction,
that she's written, or wants to write, from her heart.
A woman's story might be less quantifiable just yet; something she's still unsure of how to put into words.
She might not even know who she wants to write it for, or what the goal of it is.
Maybe all she knows is that she has a story to tell and she really wants to write it.
If this sounds like you, I can show you how to bring YOUR story to life.

Do YOU Want to Tell Your Story?
Let Me Help.
And let me start by reminding you that you are the glorious, shiny product of your own life history. Your life experiences, and the way you have reacted to and dealt with them, have made you who you are today. You're an extraordinary, brave and beautiful survivor, with a wealth of insight and wisdom, about yourself, the world, and the people in it.
And maybe you have a story to tell.
If you have, I'm already excited about helping you tell it. I adore stories. Hand on heart, I have never met a story in my entire life that wasn't interesting, or capable of being that way, with a little bit of creative help to bring it to life. Stories are important. It would be a pretty dismal world without them!

Maybe you want to write a memoir of your own incredible life story to pass on as a legacy to your family, Many women say they would love to do this. Not only is it fascinating and delightful for the family members who read it, it also explains a little of their family history to them; that certain people within it lived an incredibly interesting life, maybe in a different time, when different values mattered. Writing a family memoir is a way of 'enduring,' as a significant person in your family's history. Some women write a memoir of their own lives as a gift and guide to their daughters and granddaughters. Others will write them for the whole world to read.

You might have a self-help book to offer, about something really important, but you're not quite sure how to structure or put into the right words what you want people to know and understand. You may not know how to reference it properly. You may not be aware of the different requirements factual books need to meet, to be credible and persuasive.

Perhaps you have a fiction novel, or the idea for one, but the prospect of getting started and steering it through to completion feels far too daunting a task to do all by yourself.

Are you, in fact, a quiet poet with the gift for putting your thoughts into contemplative, heart-centred rhyme or creative narrative, and wondering if others would see it as worthwhile?
Well, let me assure you, right here and right now, that EVERYTHING you want to say is worthwhile! All of it.
And I'm going to share a story with YOU now, that makes a really important point about that, so please indulge me just a little...
My husband was brought up in New Zealand, by his amazing paternal grandparents. 'Nana and Grandad' were what most people would describe as 'ordinary, normal, working class' Kiwis. Grandad was a mechanic and Nana was a homemaker; a 'typical' woman of her generation. They plugged stoically away at paying off their own home in a nice neighbourhood where people cared about one another, and they raised their family as well as they could. To the outside world, they were Mr and Mrs Average; unremarkable in every obvious way, just like so many thousands of other 'average' kiwi families of their time. They'd successfully raised their own children to be independent, well-functioning adults, when they took on my husband. He was still a toddler, back then, and they were already growing old. When I came on the scene, they were in their eighties!
They were beautiful, gentle people, and it is my biggest regret that I didn't get to cherish them for as long as I wanted to. Grandad died unexpectedly, just a few months after our wedding, and Nana followed him around ten years later. But in that ten years, I learned so much about her! Nana's life, and her experiences, were fascinating! There was so very, very much more to that magnificent and anything but 'ordinary' old lady than anyone ever could have known! I listened to her a lot, and she continually surprised and amazed me - not just with what had happened in her life, but how she'd been shaped by the way she felt about it.
And here's the critical point of THIS story ... at the time, all those decades ago, I didn't have enough faith in my own writing. It never occurred to me that I could ever do Nana justice by writing about her life. Now, I wish I had. I wish, more than ANYTHING, that I'd found the courage to ask her permission to write and tell the amazing story of her life, because it was so rich, and fascinating, heartbreaking and joyous in equal measure, and it fully deserved to be told. And with all that I have learned since, within my craft, I WOULD have done it justice. I know that now.
So my message to you is this: Don't be the person who has no faith in her own story, or her ability to tell it.
Whatever your story is about, don't let it stay inside you.
If even just a small part of you wants to tell that magnificent creation that's bubbling away inside you, let's do it!
Let's use your voice to bring your story to life!
